Podiatry In Rose Bay
Our Rose Bay clinic sits on New South Head Road in the heart of the Eastern Suburbs. Led by Lance Penn — Clinical Director and Senior Podiatrist with over 30 years of clinical experience — the clinic has served Rose Bay and surrounding suburbs for over 20 years. GPs, sports physicians and physiotherapists across the Eastern Suburbs refer patients to our team.
We treat everything from custom orthotics, sports injuries, heel pain and children’s foot concerns. No referral is needed — you can book online or call us direct. Saturday appointments are available from 9am. We accept all major health funds on the spot with HICAPS.
Not sure what’s wrong with your feet? You don’t need a diagnosis to book. Our podiatrists will assess and identify the problem at your first appointment. If you’re in pain, that’s enough reason to come in.
The clinic is equipped with a zebris pressure plate treadmill for gait and biomechanical assessments. This gives our podiatrists objective data to guide diagnosis and treatment — the only clinic in Rose Bay with this technology.
Custom Orthotics In Rose Bay
Custom orthotics are the most common treatment we prescribe at our Rose Bay clinic. We design each pair based on a thorough biomechanical assessment using our zebris pressure plate treadmill. This captures pressure data during walking and running to guide the orthotic design — not a foam box impression.
We prescribe orthotics for heel pain, flat feet, knee pain, shin splints and biomechanical issues that cause pain further up the chain. We also fit children’s orthotics and can adjust devices as your child grows.
If you’ve had orthotics before and they didn’t work, the prescription may not have been right. A reassessment with pressure plate data often reveals what was missed.
Sports Podiatry In Rose Bay
Lance Penn built his career in sports podiatry. He has treated athletes at every level — from weekend parkrunners at Centennial Park to competitive runners training for City2Surf and the Sydney Marathon. As a former half-marathon runner himself, he understands running injuries from both sides of the treatment table.
Common sports presentations at our Rose Bay clinic include:
- Shin splints — medial tibial stress syndrome, common in runners increasing distance too fast
- Achilles tendinopathy — pain at the back of the heel or mid-tendon, often from sudden load changes
- Plantar fasciitis — heel pain under the foot, worse with first steps in the morning
- Stress fractures — metatarsal and calcaneal stress fractures in runners and court sport athletes
- Knee pain — patellofemoral pain and ITB syndrome linked to foot biomechanics
- Ankle sprains — assessment, rehabilitation and prevention of recurrence
We use the zebris pressure plate treadmill to assess gait, identify biomechanical faults and guide treatment decisions. Whether you run the Bondi to Bronte, train in Centennial Park or play weekend sport, we can help you stay active.
Common Conditions We Treat
Our Rose Bay podiatrists see a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions every week. Custom orthotics and biomechanical assessments are the most common, followed by fungal nail treatment and laser. We treat heel pain, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, Morton’s neuroma, Achilles tendinopathy, bunions, hammertoes, sesamoiditis and flat feet.
For children, we manage growing pains, Sever’s disease, flat feet, toe walking and gait concerns. Sports injuries, running injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation are also part of our regular caseload.
If you’ve been going to another podiatrist and things aren’t improving, a second opinion can help. We see patients at all stages — from first-time visits to complex ongoing cases.
Podiatry Services Rose Bay
Our podiatrists work with athletes and weekend warriors across the lEastern Suburbs. Whether you’re managing shin splints, Achilles pain, a stress fracture or a running injury, we assess movement patterns and build a treatment plan around your activity goals.
We prescribe and fit custom orthotic devices based on a thorough biomechanical assessment. Our treadmill captures data during walking and running to guide orthotic design. We also fit children’s orthotics and can adjust devices as your child grows.
Sharp, burning pain in the ball of your foot may be Morton’s neuroma. We use padding, orthotics and footwear advice to reduce pressure on the affected nerve
Heel pain is one of the most frequent presentations we see. We identify the cause — whether plantar fasciitis, fat pad irritation or Achilles tendinopathy — and tailor treatment to get you moving again
Thickened, discoloured nails are often caused by fungal infection. We provide visual diagnosis, topical therapy and laser treatment at our Mosman clinic. If pharmacy creams haven’t worked, laser reaches the infection under the nail where topical products can’t.
It is important to emphasise that a timely diagnosis of Bunions can decrease the chance of needing more aggressive treatments.
Ingrown toenails are one of the most common reasons people visit our Mosman clinic. We offer conservative care and minor nail surgery under local anaesthetic for recurring cases.
A clinical-grade foot treatment performed by a qualified podiatrist. We address callus, hard skin and nail care in a sterile clinical environment.

Will graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine and is one of the most requested podiatrists at our Mosman clinic. He has a strong focus on sports injuries, lower limb biomechanics, ingrown toenail surgery and orthotic therapy. Will treats runners, active patients and anyone dealing with persistent foot or leg pain.
