Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question about seeing a podiatrist? Here are the answers our patients ask for most, from cost and health fund rebates to booking a same-day or Saturday appointment. If you can't find what you need below, call your nearest clinic or book online and our team will help directly.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes — ModPod Podiatry offers same-day appointments across our five Sydney clinics whenever possible, including Saturdays. Call your nearest clinic or book online to check today's availability. Foot pain doesn't need to wait, and neither do we.
How much does a podiatry appointment cost?
A standard podiatry consultation costs between $110 and $145, depending on the treatment you need. Fungal nail laser treatment is $205 for your initial session and $160 for each follow-up, and an orthotics or biomechanical assessment is $145 plus $110. We don't bulk bill, but we give you a receipt with the correct item numbers so you can claim a rebate through your private health fund. See our pricing page for a full breakdown, or read more about our fungal nail laser treatment and orthotics pricing.
Does Medicare cover podiatry?
ModPod Podiatry doesn't bulk bill and isn't a Medicare-rebated service in the general sense. If you have private health extras cover, you can usually claim a rebate for podiatry, orthotics and related treatments — we provide a receipt with all the item numbers you need at the time of your appointment, so you can claim through your fund straight away.
Which private health funds do you accept?
ModPod Podiatry accepts claims from all major Australian private health funds. The amount you get back depends on your level of extras cover, so check your policy for podiatry benefits before your visit. Bring your health fund card to your appointment and we'll issue a compliant receipt for easy claiming.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?
No — you don't need a GP referral to see a podiatrist at ModPod Podiatry. You can book directly online or by phone with one of our experienced podiatrists, including Lance at our Rose Bay clinic and Will Zalloua, our children's podiatry specialist at Mosman. If you do have a referral or a chronic disease management plan from your GP, bring it along, as it may affect your rebate eligibility.
How long is my first appointment?
Your first appointment at ModPod Podiatry typically runs 30 to 45 minutes. This gives your podiatrist time to assess your feet, discuss your concerns and start treatment where appropriate. Follow-up appointments are usually shorter, depending on your treatment plan. Read more about what to expect at your first appointment.
Do you treat corns, calluses and warts?
Yes — ModPod Podiatry treats corns, calluses and warts at all five of our Sydney clinics: Sydney CBD, Mosman, Dee Why, Rose Bay and North Ryde. Treatment is usually completed in a single visit and can include debridement, padding and advice to help prevent them coming back.
Is there parking at your clinics?
Parking availability depends on which clinic you visit, so check the parking details on your chosen clinic's location page or ask our team when you book. We'll point you to the easiest parking option nearby, whether you're visiting our Sydney CBD, Mosman, Dee Why, Rose Bay or North Ryde clinic.
Can I book online?
Yes — you can book an appointment online in a few clicks at any of our five Sydney locations, including Saturday appointments. If you'd rather talk to someone first, call your nearest clinic directly, such as Dee Why on 02 9090 4511 or Mosman on 02 9960 3981.
Do you do home visits?
We don't currently offer home visits, but all five of our Sydney clinics are easy to reach, with same-day and Saturday appointments available to fit around your day. Find your nearest clinic on our locations page, including Sydney CBD (Suite 506, 66 Hunter St), Mosman, Dee Why (Suite 4103/834 Pittwater Rd), Rose Bay (668a New South Head Rd) and North Ryde (136 Coxs Rd).
